The shot below was taken near the same spot today. Curiously, it appears that somewhere along the way a wise bureaucrat designated this as Gate 'B' instead. There must have been some massive confusion that caused such a vital switch. Thankfully, and because of such foresight, guests no longer need claw and push each other to get to their proper departure gate. Let's just enjoy the comparison, shall we?Tuesday, November 3, 2009
A View From Main Street Station - Then and Now
Disneyland's Main Street Station - Gate 'A' in 1957. Though it's very dark, that's what the little hanging sign says; 'Gate A'.

Nice comparison shots. A lot has changed.
Awesome Then & Now! Do you know when they planted the large (white bark) trees on each side of the Main Street Station?
Interesting! That big tree is really beautiful.
Funny! Love to see those comparison shots. And I love your subtle watermark too!
Subtle?! Not so much - but I'll accept creative. Hope it's not too distracting! Sorry folks.
Hmm, why the switch to "Gate B"? I can't imagine. I love the vintage view, but have to admit that the current view is kind of pretty with all of the trees at least.
Oh, and I like the watermark too.
